The Metrognomes' website aims to be a resource which is both entertaining and educational. The rationale of the site is to communicate through the Gnomes some important messages to children. Herbert, the Green Gnome, represents the environment. Sherbet, the Yellow Gnome, represents healthy eating. Maggot, the Blue Gnome, represents safe surfing on the Web. Rusty, the Red Gnome, represents building and fixing.
